The Otto Woo Story
'The original Otto Woo was established in Ponsonby, Auckland in January
2000. The idea came from thinking about "what would we like?" What kind of
food, what kind of place, what kind of service and what kind of people would we
like to workwith?
The net result was Otto Woo.
The Otto Woo brand -- beautifully understated, stands for healthy, fresh and
funky food. Otto Woo provides western style modern Asian cuisine, with a strong
Japanese and Thai influece. Each meal contains loads of daily fresh vegetables
and meat, also high quality sauce and ingredients ----- tasty as well as
healthy. No pre-cooked or processed meat is used, MSG is never added.
The management team was overwhelmed by the success of Otto Woo as quickly built
up a strong and loyal client base, in the face of some of the toughest
competition in New Zealand. It soon became a popular place to frequent for the
local and distance professionals. At that time there were no other New York
style noodle bar of its type.
Otto Woo has won many best noodle bar and best gourmet takeout awards. A
successful formula had been developed, and from there was the vision to open
more Otto Woo Gourmet Noodle Bars throughout Auckland.
Otto Woo Gourmet Noodle Bars are now in three popular locations - Ponsonby,
Newmarket, Mission Bay (just opened)
